Italian Cookies

These traditional Italian cookies have been a family favorite for many years. Drizzled with icing and topped with sprinkles, this easy and authentic recipe will become a holiday staple.

INGREDIENTS

Italian Cookies: - Eggs - Vegetable or canola oil - Vanilla extract - Sugar - Salt - All-purpose flour - Baking powder Glaze: - Confectioners sugar - Vanilla extract - Milk

Italian Cookies: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment.

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine eggs, oil, vanilla, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl and mix on medium speed with a paddle attachment until well blended, about 2 minutes.

Add flour and baking powder and mix until flour is completely incorporated and dough is shiny. Scoop out dough into walnut size pieces.

Roll each ball of dough between your hands into a 4 inch strip and then form a circle or a twist. Place on parchment lined sheet and bake for 12-15 mins or until they are pale golden in color.
