Marinate the salmon in the buttermilk for 30 mins. Pat the excess buttermilk off with a paper towel before dredging.

Combine the flour and everything bagel spice in a shallow dish. Dredge the salmon in the coating and set aside.

Coat the bottom of a non stick pan with olive oil and heat until hot, but not smoking.

Add the salmon and sauté on each side about 2-3 mins (for medium rare – medium depending on the thickness of your salmon).

Remove the salmon to a rack or paper towel lined plate.

Can’t find everything bagel spice? Simply combine equal parts dried minced garlic, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, dried minced onion, and kosher or sea salt.
