AP flour

Cocoa powder

Buttermilk

Peppermint extract

Ingredients

Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Add buttermilk, eggs, and oil and mix well until combined. Stir in extract.

Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool cake in pan for about 10 minutes, then remove from pan to finish cooling on a wire rack.

Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy, about 2 minutes on med/high speed with an electric mixer.

Don’t add too much frosting to the mix. The crumbled cake and frosting should mix together to form a  play-doh-like consistency, not too wet or too dry.
