If you’re hosting a brunch soon, you will definitely want to make this everything bagel smoked salmon and cream cheese ball the star of the show. It’s super easy, incredibly delicious, and can be made in advance which is always a win when you’re hosting.

I’m partial to everything bagels, so I love this seasoning blend that tastes just like my favorite bagel, minus the carbs. I mix up a cream cheese spread with chunks of smoked salmon, fresh herbs, and lemon and roll it in the everything bagel seasoning. It can be served alongside fresh bagels, bagel crisps, pumpernickel squares, or fresh vegetables.

I usually make my own everything bagel seasoning so I can adjust it to my preferences. I store it in an airtight container with my spices and put it on everything from fish, to hummus, to popcorn. The good news is everything bagel seasoning is also now readily available in most markets if you want to skip this step and buy it pre-made.

Make a brunch grazing board

I make this smoked salmon cream cheese ball the star of my brunch platter and build around it. If I’m hosting a small group, I’ll put the bagels off to the side and fill the platter with veggies, capers, onions and crackers. If I’m hosting a large group I’ll create either a grazing table piled with bagels, a variety of spreads, veggies, and fruit or multiple boards divided between sweet and savory.

Grazing boards are a fun and casual approach to hosting and always make an eye catching presentation.

This is truly brilliant! I’ve made similar spreads, probably with leftover lox, but I love what you did with the bagel seasoning!

Trader Joe’s makes an everything bagel seasoning that is already put together! I’m going to use that, saves a few steps!
