Can you think of anything better on a hot summer day than an icy cold pitcher of easy rosé sangria? This easy (and I mean EASY) sangria comes together in just minutes and doesn’t require a ton of time to chill to be delicious.

It’s brimming with bright summer fruit and is topped with a splash of seltzer or (even better) sparkling rosé for just the right amount of fizz.

Sangria, especially white or rosé, can bend sweet and this one definitely has a fair amount of sweetness from just the fruit and spirits alone. I tend to favor a less sweet cocktail so I find one tablespoon of agave nectar to be just the right amount.

If you prefer a sweeter rosé sangria, add one tablespoon of agave at a time and give it a taste. Remember, you can always add more after the fruit is added and the flavor has had a chance to develop.

To fizz or not to fizz…

That is indeed the question. And the answer for me is usually to FIZZ, especially when I’m serving it to guests. That said, when recipe testing this for you guys (damn, I love my job) I may have enjoyed a few glasses sans fizz and I wasn’t mad about it.

So no wrong answer here. Although adding a little seltzer or sparkling wine will stretch it if you have crowd. If you’re serving over ice (no judgement here), I would skip the bubbles.

Let’s make Easy Rosé Sangria

Getting ready to mix up Easy Rosé Sangria with all of the fruit prepped and ready.
  1. When I said EASY Rosé Sangria, I meant it! Simply stir the wine, spirits, and agave together in a pitcher.
  2. Add the fruit and chill for at least an hour (longer is even better).
  3. Pour into glasses and top with a splash of seltzer or sparkling rosé and garnish with a watermelon wedge if desired.

Tips for success

  • Use a good quality dry rose (NOT sweet) that you would drink on its own.
  • I find that just a tablespoon of agave is the right amount of sweetness as the spirits and fruit are sweet as well. If you like it sweeter, stir in a little more agave to taste.
  • This sangria needs to chill for at least an hour to taste delicious, but if you’re a planner make it the day before for optimal taste!
  • A well chilled sangria won’t require ice cubes, but if you’re serving this on a blazing hot summer day, a few cubes won’t hurt!
  • A splash of seltzer as you serve brings just the right amount of fizz or a sparkling rosé would be extra special!
