The Festival of Lights!
Because Hanukkah is the festival of lights, traditional dishes are fried in oil. Today we’re celebrating with some traditional dishes as well as a twist on a classic. We’ll kick off the meal with a fun everything bagel seasoned cream cheese ball and of course no Hanukkah celebration would be complete without latkes. We’ve miniaturized our latkes today and I serve them with a dollop of apple creme fraiche. But never fear, you purists, because we’ll have a bowl of homemade applesauce too. To lighten things up, let’s go with roasted salmon and finish with mini baked (but just as good as fried) donuts!
